Directed Verdict Sought In Strip Search Trial

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Lawyers for each side in the McDonald's strip search lawsuit will argue for directed verdicts today, asking Bullitt County Senior Judge Tom McDonald to declare victory for them before the defense presents its case.

The plaintiff's lawyers concluded their case on Friday. Last week, they questioned a number of McDonald's supervisors and executives who say they were never told about such hoaxes by the company's legal, operations or security departments. They said that as a result, they never warned employees about them.

Plaintiff's lawyers also presented two mental health experts who say that Ogborn is suffering post-traumatic stress disorder. Trial for a lawsuit by the former assistant manager of the Mount Washington McDonald's could begin this afternoon, depending on the ruling in the Ogborn case.

Donna Summers is asking for $50 million.
