Man Accused Of Shooting Parents Appears In Court

A man accused of killing his mother and shooting his father appeared in court Monday morning.

A preliminary hearing was held in McCreary county for Dustin Cordell.

Police say Cordell shot and killed his mother, Kandi, before shooting his father, Anthony, earlier this month at the couple's home.

He was later arrested in Tennessee.

Dustin Cordell faces murder and assault charges.
