Lexington Businessman Hurt In Plane Crash Released From Hospital

Updated: Mon 6:10 PM, Sep 24, 2007

There's good news for a Lexington businessman injured in a Tennessee plane crash, Daren Turner is out of the hospital.

Turner was released just before noon Monday morning. Turner is now speaking about his near-death experience.

Turner was seriously injured when the plane he was in crashed on the way back from Birmingham to Lexington. Three other people, including his father, Ron Turner, were also on the aircraft.

Their plane went down on a busy Chattanooga Road, wrapped around a light pole, but remarkably nobody on the ground was hurt. Turner says his father is in surgery still trying to recover from the accident.

Daren says he and his wife will stay close to his father for now while he's in the hospital. Turner's father Ron is expected to be released from the hospital later this week.
