Rounds of showers and storms continue to move through the region. This action will slowly wind down in the coming hours.
A woman is recovering after a bad crash on Iron Works Pike.
It happened at the entrance to the Donerail Travel Center, between Georgetown Road and Interstate 75.
Police say a green Geo Prism, driven by 55-year-old Celia Woollard, was trying to turn into the travel center and didn't yield to oncoming traffic.
A Plymouth Voyager, driven by 29-year-old James Blanchard, hit Wollard's car.
Police say she wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. We're told she hit her head on some rocks and was transported to U.K. hospital where she's in serious condition.
Blanchard was taken to Georgetown Community Hospital for minor injuries.
Police think alcohol played a role in the crash. They say they think Woollard hit a parked car at 5th and Elm earlier Saturday night and witnesses told them she appeared to be intoxicated.
