Benefit concert scheduled for murder victim's daughter

Friends will hold a concert later this week to benefit a murder victim's young daughter.

Several musicians will perform during the event at 7:00 Tuesday night at the Kentucky Theater. All proceeds will go to a fund for 12-year-old Almira Fawn. Her mother, Umi Southworth, died a day after she was found badly beaten behind her home on Meadowthrope Avenue in June. No arrests have been made in the murder. Fawn is a popular local singer and songwriter. Southworth was planning to move to Nashville with her so she could pursue her music career.
