Scattered showers and storms will continue to develop this evening into the overnight. We have a tropical atmosphere that will allow these storms to produce a lot of lightning and heavy rains.
The threat for storms will continue into Friday as a cold front works in from the north. This front will push to the south during the afternoon and should allow dry air to take over in time for the start of the high school football season.
The weather for the weekend looks good with temps in the low to mid 80s under partly sunny skies.
Hot and humid weather will try to build in from the west next week.
