A couple of quiet days ahead before a big system moves in. Lets start with today as highs settle in the upper 40s with a mix of sun and clouds. Wednesday stays dry with highs in the mid 50s. Come Thursday morning showers will begin to move in the region and works its way through the day. By the evening and overnight hours cold air plunges southward connecting with some moisture and it appears that we will see a transition from rain to snow during that time period. We could wake up with a light accumulation on Friday morning with a few showers still dropping snow during the morning hours. Highs on Friday stay near freezing with very gusty winds, which will make it feel like the 20s outside. We hold onto cold air for the weekend with highs in the 30s, but dry out.
