The remnant continues to weaken and drift slowly through the Ohio Valley. Expect some early patchy fog and drizzle with increasing cloudiness. As we head through the afternoon, scattered showers (and a stray thunderstorm) will develop. Highs will be in the lower 80s. The scattered shower activity should wane after sunset tonight with generally partly cloudy skies and patchy fog late. Lows drop to the upper 60s.
Wednesday begins dry but another round of scattered showers develops during the afternoon hours. It will be a warmer day with highs in the upper 80s. Thursday looks fair, dry and warm with highs remaining in the upper 80s. After that, big changes are ahead. A cold front with a trailing upper level trough will arrive from late Friday through Monday. The latter feature provides quite a cool-down with a good shot at showers for the weekend. Highs could struggle in the upper 60s to middle 70s from Saturday through Monday.
At least it’s a four-day work week for most of us; enjoy the day back to work/school.
