Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
We are wrapping up the first week of March completely different from where we started it on Monday. The beginning of the week featured snow and a lot of cold. The end of the week will feature sunshine and temps in the low to mid 50s. That's March in Kentucky!
One thing we have constantly had here lately is a split weekend. This weekend will be another split weekend. For Saturday, we'll see temperatures climb up the thermometer into the mid and upper 50s. Then on Sunday, with the passing of a front, temps drop back into the low to mid 40s.
During that same time we'll also throw in a chance of some showers late Saturday night and into Sunday morning. It'll mainly be rain, but there could be a few flakes out in Eastern Kentucky as temperatures will hover right around the freezing mark.
