After a dry and hot afternoon, get ready for a wet weekend ahead. We’ll see highs settle in the lower 90s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. The evening and overnight will remain dry although a complex of storms is possible in time for the late morning commute tomorrow. This complex is based on the further development of afternoon storms over the Central Plains. If these storms are able to hold together overnight, we could see them reach our western counties by the morning rush tomorrow. If the complex fizzles overnight, we’ll see get in on an afternoon scattered shower/storm threat. Waves of unsettled weather will continue through the weekend before ending northwest to southeast on Monday.
Stay cool outside and don’t forget to allow your pets indoors in the air conditioning this afternoon.
