A major winter storm is on the way to the bluegrass state. Local high water issues are possible early Wednesday and that will be followed up by heavy snow and sleet. Significant accumulations are likely Wednesday night and Thursday.
Our weekend wasn't all that bad as we had a cool breeze rush in here yesterday. That nice feel will stick with us for this Monday as highs settle in the upper 70s. There is a slight chance of rain during the afternoon/evening, especially for south of I-64. Going into the night we will have a chance of rain toward tomorrow morning. The showers turn into thunderstorms as we head toward the afternoon and evening tomorrow. This will give way to strong storms with the potential of an isolated severe cell.
Heading into midweek our rain chances will be there, especially Wednesday, before kicking out for the end of the work week. Mother nature does it again and allows us to have a pretty decent weekend in store.
