A pretty wet holiday weekend

The unofficial end of Summer is just a few days away. That means we are entering a holiday weekend. For many of us it will last through Monday. Unfortunately, each day will feature a solid chance of showers and storms.

To get things started on Friday, it's only a hit and miss event. That means most of us should stay on the dry side. I do think that some isolated showers and storms will develop across parts of our area. The coverage shouldn't be that widespread at any point though.

A warm front will begin lifting across the area on Saturday. That's when we'll see our rain chances increase. Especially, during the afternoon and evening hours. These rounds of rain will become a little more widespread. That could lead to your evening plans being delayed or maybe even canceled. It certainly has that much potential.

Sunday and Monday look even wetter. After that warm front lifts north of our area we could see more rounds of widespread showers and storms. That means a wet end of the holiday weekend.
