Numerous showers will be the forecast today as temperatures in the 40s allow us to stay with just rain through this Tuesday. As the low pressure system works through this evening and into tonight we will start to see the cold air filter in, which will turn those rain showers into snow showers. Most of us will likely wake up tomorrow morning with snow on the ground. This system has looked better and better each model run for not just accumulating snow, but decent amounts of snow as well. Most of us look to be in the 1"-2" range, but with the heavier bands some of us could reach 3" or 4". The best chance for this to happen will be for north of I-64. Timing on this will be tonight through tomorrow afternoon. That has triggered a Winter Weather Advisory from overnight tonight until around noon Wednesday.
Thursday will be cool with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s, but after that we are on a nice warming trend. Friday through Monday we will see temperatures in the 50s and 60s with plenty of sunshine. We deserve it after what we have had the past several days...
