A rainy start to the work week with possible thunderstorms

Showers will work their way through during the morning hours, take a bit of a break, then pick back up during the afternoon. The afternoon is when we need to be watching because there is a slight chance at a few severe storms. The main threats will be hail and damaging winds. We could see a stray shower during the morning on Tuesday, but other than that it will just be cooler on Tuesday with highs in the 40s. Rain picks back up during early Thursday morning. Widespread showers are expected with this system during the day. We start off in the 50s that morning and end up in the 30s. The possibility is there for a transition for snow Thursday night and into Friday. This possibility actually looks better than the past chances we have had, so all eyes are on Friday morning. Cold air settles in behind this system through the weekend.
