A band of heavy rain continues to sink southward into the region. We will have to keep a close eye on this later this evening into tonight. The rest of the forecast remains unchanged with a major winter storm moving in late Wednesday and Thursday.
There are two days during the work week that you do not want rain to start off your day. Monday is one and the other is Friday. Soggy weather is expected mainly for the 1st part of the day before things gradually look better heading into the afternoon. Highs today will settle in the mid to upper 60s this afternoon.
The good news about rain on a Friday is that it clears the way for the weekend. Much warmer and drier conditions expected on both Saturday and Sunday as our highs soar to the upper 70s to lower 80s. We better take advantage of it because come next week we are looking at a slow moving system coming out of the west. This could give us some strong storms to watch for on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Either way it will be soggy with a lot of rain falling on our yards. Have a great weekend!
