The remnant low (from what was once Hurricane Isaac) continues to churn slowly over the Ohio Valley. Expect a soggy and humid Labor Day with off and on showers this morning with more numerous showers and storms developing during the afternoon hours. While there will be breaks from time to time, be wary of some of the strongest cells which could pack heavy rainfall and low visibilities. Highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s on this holiday. Be sure to grab the umbrella and rain gear when heading out today.
Showers become more scattered this evening and overnight as we lose the heating of the day. Patchy dense fog will accompany any scattered showers that remain overnight. It will remain muggy with lows around 70. Scattered showers and storms end slowly west to east tomorrow as the low begins to drift eastward. The late break in the precipitation won’t last long as another front follows on Wednesday. We do warm up to the middle 80s tomorrow and upper 80s through mid-week.
A cold front and stronger trough look to visit late this week through the weekend bringing yet another round of scattered showers and storms from late Friday through Sunday. Highs drop to the 70s this coming Saturday and Sunday.
Until then, enjoy your Labor Day and take it easy on the roadways.
