August is off and running with temperatures running below normal. This is a continuation of the pattern we've had for most of the summer. Highs over the weekend will generally run from 80-85 degrees across many areas.
With an increase in low-level moisture, scattered showers and thunderstorms will go up during the afternoon and evening hours. This is NOT going to be a washout and you will have many dry hours. Scattered is the word of the weekend.
Temps early next week will finally get back to normal with readings in the mid and upper 80s.
The next system to impact our weather arrives by the end of the week with an increasing threat for showers and thunderstorms. That should knock temps down a few degrees.
