A strong cold front swings through today

Posted: Mon 5:23 AM, Nov 12, 2012

Showers and a couple of rumbles of thunder will be the story today. This does look like all should see rain by midnight. Rain begins in the western zones early in the morning and spreads eastbound through the day. All rain should end by midnight. As the rain works its way through, so does the cold air. Some areas in the west won't even reach the 50s, while places in the east could see 70s. Big difference in temperatures and weather for both sides of the area. The farther you go east of I-75, the later you can expect rain. Once the rain shifts out of here after midnight we will see an extremely cold night with lows in the lower to mid 20s. Dry and chilly air settles in from Tuesday through Friday with highs in the 40s and 50s.
