Very warm temps continue to push into central and eastern Kentucky this week. Our summer preview will produce readings well into the 80s for much of the region.
Highs on Tuesday will range from the upper 70s in the north to the low and middle 80s elsewhere. Mid 80s look common for Wednesday and Thursday under mostly sunny skies. Lows will drop into the 60s.
A cold front will work toward the region by Friday. This front will then slowly work across the area over the weekend and into next week. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be common during this time.
We even run the risk of some strong and severe thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall will also be possible over the weekend.
