Many of us will see quite a bit of sunshine through midday across Kentucky. The sunshine and a nice southerly wind will bring some much milder air into Kentucky. That southern wind will also bring us more moisture. Showers will be likely during the evening hours. Any rain chance we experience on Sunday will not be a big deal at all. As a matter of fact, the better chances now look like they arrive on Monday morning.
Rain wraps up rather quickly on Monday and we'll end up with a mix of sun and clouds during the afternoon and evening. This will allow us to see temperatures warm into the mid and even some upper 70s.
A frontal boundary will continue to linger just to our north. We'll remain on the southern side of the front. This will keep the warmer air in Kentucky. It will also keep a threat of showers alive for folks in northern and northeastern Kentucky. Some of that might even dip into central Kentucky again on Tuesday. Those chances are very low!
The front will begin lifting on Wednesday. When that happens we end up with some significantly warmer air. Highs will climb into the mid 80s. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if someone didn't make a solid run at the upper 80s.
Enjoy your Sunday!
