The weekend is finally here and for the most part it looks great. The real winner is today! That's when we expect the sunny skies and warm conditions. Not humid... just plain old warm!
A frontal boundary moved across KY on Friday. When that front passed through Kentucky it brought showers and a few thundershowers. The end result is the dry air that we now have in place across Kentucky. We'll probably only climb into the mid and upper 70s for daytime highs.
For all of the dads out there you can probably expect a little more heat and humidity. There is also a possibility of a stray shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening. While I don't think those chances are very high at all, I do think that we have a fair shot to see a couple of showers.
Next week it is back to the same old song and dance. The heat will begin building back into Kentucky and so will the rain chances. A lot of those will be brought to you by the heating of the day types of showers and storms. So anyone of the storms that gets fired up nest week could bring heavy rains to isolated locations.
