Heavy rain will be the issue through the first half of the day. Significant snow & sleet will be the call during the afternoon through tomorrow. Look for almost impassable travel in some spots tomorrow.
Rain will continue through the day today. While its presence won't be a constant, it will be lurking in the area for most of the day. The folks in Eastern Kentucky will have a better chance to see widespread showers. Here in Central Kentucky it will become more hit and miss. We might even track a few thunderstorms.
A wave low pressure will keep pushing moisture into the area through the evening and into Sunday. This low looks more like a system you would see during the winter months. Just like one of those southern tracking storms, the rain will have a sharp cut-off. That has been the case over the past two days. It will become even more obvious on Sunday. While I do believe we all see rain chances on Sunday.. I think our friends to the east will have a better chance of seeing that activity!
The theme of the pattern doesn't really change. Showers and thunderstorms will continue through the week. Temperatures slowly begin to climb. Many areas will jump into the mid and upper 80s. Then you throw in a daily threat of showers and storms and you have a more summer-like pattern.
