A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect for much of the Lexington metro. High water issues are likely through the evening.
We have one heck of a nice start to the weekend across the bluegrass state as cooler and drier pushes into town. This will set the stage for a pleasant Friday night for those who want to get outside and enjoy summer.
Saturday’s weather continues to look good with temps in the 50s to start and low 80s to end. Sunshine will make for a great day to get out on the lake or to take a dip in the pool.
Humidity levels and temps will increase for Sunday with temps back into the middle 80s.
The nice start to the weekend doesn’t mean the weekend will end the same way. An increase in temps and humidity will lead to a few storms developing. That action will be rather scattered at first, but will increase into early next week as a cold front enters the picture.
That may lead to some rounds of strong storms and heavy rainfall.
