Driver accused in chase identified

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is in jail, accused of leading police on a drunken chase.

Court documents show Richard Wolford, 60, refused to stop when police tried to pull him over on Tates Creek Road.

At one point, Lexington police say Wolford was driving the wrong way.

He eventually reached New Circle Road, where he ran over some stop sticks.

Wolford later stopped near Family Circle, but not before police say he hit two vehicles. No one was hurt.

Wolford faces several charges, including five counts of wanton endangerment and DUI. He will be arraigned in Lexington Tuesday afternoon.
