A Flood Watch and a Winter Storm Watch are out for the entire region late Tuesday through early Thursday. Heavy rain develops Tuesday night into Wednesday morning and may put down 1”-3” in some areas. We are looking at the possibility of significant snow and sleet from late Wednesday through early Thursday.
IQUIQUE, Chile (AP) - Strong aftershocks continue following Tuesday night's powerful earthquake off Chile's northern coast.
An aftershock with a 6.1 magnitude shook an area 47 miles southwest of Iquique late Thursday.
Repeated aftershocks have shaken buildings and sent people running into the streets in the port of Iquique, the largest city closest to the epicenter.
Tuesday's 8.2-magnitude quake left six people dead.
