All KSP posts to participate in drug take-back

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say every post around the state will participate in a drug take-back initiative later this month.

A statement from police says the initiative, which is in collaboration with the federal Drug Enforcement Agency, is an effort to remove potentially dangerous prescriptions from homes around the state.

Residents can drop off their medicines on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. All drop locations are at Kentucky State Police posts except in London, where it will be at the Laurel County Health Department, and in Morehead, where it will be at the Carl Perkins Com Center.
