LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Allegiant announced that beginning May 29 it will start offering nonstop, seasonal flights between Lexington and Myrtle Beach.
In the beginning, Allegiant will be offering the flights for around $54 one-way, as a promotion.
Allegiant plans to begin the flights on May 29, and the flights will operate twice weekly between May 29 and Aug. 12 of this year. It will become the only nonstop service from Lexington to anywhere in South Carolina.
The company first started at Blue Grass Airport in the winter of 2008, with nonstop service to Orlando. Lexington will become one of only eight Allegiant cities with nonstop service to Myrtle Beach.
