Ambulance involved in crash in Bath Co.

Bath County, Ky (WKYT)- Emergency crews responded to a crash on interstate 64 involving an ambulance in the afternoon. The crash occurred in the eastbound lane near mile marker 126 in Bath County.

The Elliott County Ambulance was on a non-emergency transport when the driver lost control. It ran off the interstate through a guardrail and down an embankment. Kentucky State Police said the driver told them he didn't know what happened.

Two paramedics and the patient were taken to a Morehead hospital to be check out.

All lanes of the interstate are open, once the ambulance is removed the guardrail will need to be repaired.
