An active weather pattern on the way

Posted: Thu 5:49 AM, Dec 06, 2012

Most of the day looks to be dry here for our Thursday. A couple of isolated showers will work into the region later today, which could rain on our parade...literally. Lexington's Christmas parade goes on tonight at 7:30 pm. We will be down there along with santa, so head out there and come say hey! This will not be a washout by any means. Just a chance at a brief shower or two. Friday and into the weekend is when we begin a very active weather pattern. The best chance of rain will be during the weekend with a possibility of a few storms. A front rolls through on Sunday night into Monday morning. We could very well start the morning off on Monday in the 50s and end up in the 30s by early afternoon. It appears we could also see a transition from rain to snow through the day, BUT the snow will be very limited.
