An active winter pattern continues

Posted: Fri 4:07 PM, Dec 21, 2012

Snow showers will finally end across eastern Kentucky this evening and overnight. Parts of these areas picked up nearly 5" of the white stuff today. Slick spots will be noted across much of the region tonight into early Saturday morning.

Temps will drop into the upper teens in some spots as skies clear our. Saturday looks good with temps in the low and mid 30s under sunny skies.

The next system moves in late Sunday into Christmas Eve. That will bring some showers with a slight chance of a snowflake or two mixing in.

A more potent storm will take aim at us Christmas night into Wednesday and that may be a snow maker.
