ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A central Kentucky family has lost everything in a fire that destroyed their home.

The fire broke out in a mobile home on Glensboro Road west of Lawrenceburg in Anderson County.

Seven people, including three small children, used to live in the now burned Anderson County home. Firefighters say the family is pretty lucky no one was home or injured when the fire started Monday afternoon.

"I'm just torn all to pieces, and I don't know what I'm going to do now," said Tim Perry, the homeowner.

Perry along with his two sons, his daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren lived in the double-wide for many years.

"I'm thankful that nobody got hurt or nothing," said Perry. "You know homes can be replaced later on down the road."

Perry says he's lived on that same piece of land his entire life.

"I got a lot of my mom's and dad's stuff where they passed away, and I can't replace it. That's gonna be hard on me," said Perry.

The home was fully engulfed and up on a pretty steep hill, challenging firefighters from the start.

"They had to pump water up the hill to get the water up the hill to put it out," said Perry.

The family says relocating will be tough, but with nothing left except the clothes on their backs, they have no choice.

"I gotta start from scratch. I've been down before, but you know what they say. You can't keep a good man down for long!" said Perry.

Fire officials tell us they do not know the cause of the fire at this time but do not think it is suspicious.

A fire investigator is going back to the scene Tuesday morning to investigate was sparked it.

We are told Red Cross is putting the Perry family up for the night.
