ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -
Two days after an Anderson County man is murdered, Kentucky State Police are still trying to find their suspect.
Police have searched for 39-year-old, Gary Luttrell since Saturday.
"We are still very much concerned that our suspect, Gary Luttrell is still of the run. Our concern is for the public safety at this point," says Trooper Kendra Wilson, with Kentucky State Police.
Kentucky State Police are not yet releasing the motive in the murder of 54-year-old Steven Briscoe, of Anderson County.
Briscoe was found shot to death outside of his home on Fairview Drive in Anderson County, just outside of Lawrenceburg on Saturday morning.
"At this time, we still consider Gary Luttrell armed and dangerous. And so should the public," adds Wilson.
Police say that Luttrell's wife, 39-year-old Leslie Lutrell was visiting Briscoe the day he was murdered. Police tried to find Gary and Leslie on Saturday. Police considered Leslie missing and feared that she was injured.
"Yesterday afternoon, Leslie Luttrell did escape from her husband in the Shepardsville area and was able to make contact with police. She was found unharmed," says Wilson.
At this point, Leslie Luttrell is not facing any charges in this case.
Police are hoping the public can help them find Gary Luttrell. If you have any information contact Kentucky State Police at (800) 222-5555.
