LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)- In the hours before the polls close, Andy Barr was oined by by his wife and daughter to cast his vote at Immanual Baptist Church in Lexington.
Campaining on the idea that folks in the 6th District deserve better from their elected officials, Barr says he's hoping his base turns out to vote. He's hoping to create new jobs and opportunity if he's sent to Washington and plans to spend the day cultivating undecided votes.
"We're doing a lot of phone calling," Barr explained to a small crowd of members of the media. "Certainly 'get out the vote' calls. But mainly, just calls to thank people who've been so supportive not just in the last year, but in the last three years from thwe original campaign."
Through the campaign, Andy Barr has been saying he wants to send a message for change in Washington. He says the best way to do that is to elect him and change congressmen.
