Annual "Fire Prevention Parade" held in Lexington

The Lexington Fire Department held its annual "Fire Prevention Parade" in downtown Lexington Monday night.

Games and festivities were held at Cheapside Park before the parade. UK Hoops Coach Matthew Mitchell was on hand as grand marshal, and there were plenty of firetrucks and floats.

Also Monday, the fire department honored its "Junior Fire Chief" Jadeyshia Robinson. She's a fifth grader at William Wells Brown Elementary School. Her poster on fire safety was chosen out of 50 entries.
