Anonymous tip leads to arrest of man wanted in Frankfort

Lexington, Ky. (WKYT) - An anonymous tip lead to the arrest of a man wanted by Frankfort Police for selling fake advertisements.

According to Lexington Police Carl Elovitz was arrested around 7am Saturday morning.

Police say an anonymous tip lead them to the residence on Stonehaven drive where they found Elovitz.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Elovitz was wanted by Frankfort Police for selling fake advertisements but also has several other arrest warrants in Fayette, Woodford, Jessamine and Anderson Counties.

Frankfort Police say Elovitz has told people he represents "The Athletic Department" and claims to be selling ads for the 41st District Basketball Tournament program.

Elovitz is currently being lodged at the Fayette County Detention Center.
