Another night of record cold possible

Record cold air has settled into the bluegrass state. Temps this morning hit record levels in many areas of central and eastern Kentucky. We have another shot at a record low tonight with readings into the low and middle 50s.

Skies on Wednesday will remain partly sunny with isolated showers and storms going up. Highs will range from the mid to the upper 70s.

A slightly better chance for showers and storms will be around from Thursday into the coming weekend. Highs during this time will climb into the low 80s. Those numbers are still below normal for the early part of August.

Hot weather continues to be missing from the overall pattern as we head into the first week of August.
