LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Another cold front expected to move through Kentucky Friday evening will bring a wintry mix of rain and snow.

"It looks to be another round of light snow with flurries continuing into Sunday," says WKYT meteorologist Kari Hall. "Temperatures will drop into the teens in the overnight hours behind the next front."

Hall expects highs Thursday will be at or below freezing for most with a few in southern Kentucky reaching the mid 30s. Clouds will break up overnight with lows in the mid to upper 20s. Friday temperatures will reach into the low 40s with partly cloudy skies.

Looking ahead to next week, the WKYT First Alert Weather team will be tracking a second light snow maker for New Year's Eve and Day.
