Another round of light wintry precipitation

A light round of wintry precip is on the way for folks across Kentucky. Initially, this system will bring rain to our area. But during the overnight hours we'll see a transition over to a mix of rain and snow. Maybe even some sleet in the picture. This will be a much bigger deal in northern Kentucky. It looks like folks up there could see 1"-3" of snow.

This same system will bring cold showers to our area on Saturday. Temperatures will only climb into the mid and maybe the upper 30s. So that means cold rain possible.

As the system pulls away, we'll see temps take a dive and change any moisture over to snow for Sunday. There might be enough moisture out there to throw down some very light accumulations. Especially, for folks in eastern Kentucky. Again, this isn't a big deal for us. It could bring some slick spots out there, but that's it!

Maybe a run with mild temps will be coming soon! Have a great weekend!
