Another round of winter weather on the way

Posted: Mon 1:45 PM, Mar 04, 2013

Clouds will continue to increase across the region this evening. Those clouds are ahead of our next storm that works in for Tuesday. The lead low will work into the Ohio Valley and weaken as another low develops to our southeast.

Rain develops Tuesday as the low works across the state. It pushes to our northeast and allows much colder air to filter in, changing the rain to snow late in the day into the evening hours. We will have to watch for a period of wraparound snow moving in from the north Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The models often struggle with placement and intensity of this type of snow band.

Snow showers and flurries would then slowly wind down during the day as a cold wind blows.

Milder air looks to push in by the end of the week into next weekend.
