Bands of light snow are working across the region. These can put down some light accumulations on the grass and elevated surfaces.
A frontal boundary has passed through the area. This has allowed for some much cooler air to invade the region. We'll see lower humidity levels through the end of the week. Most locations will see temps dip into the mid 50s at night. This will only last one day as the heat will be back on Saturday. Unlike our previous runs with Fall-like weather, this one will only last a day or so.
The weekend will feature the return of the heat and humidity. Daytime highs will make a solid run at the 90 degree mark. The humidity will be back in the game too. Showers and thunderstorms make a return on Saturday evening. Some of those might even pack a decent punch. These storms will stretch from Saturday night and into the early morning hours on Sunday.
We could see another run with cool temperatures next week. This would be the 4th run in the cooler temperatures in less than a month. Highs will again drop into the 70s with more 50s during the nighttime hours. This will likely be a wet and cool period for all of us. A very similar pattern for this entire area.
