The arctic cold front is now sweeping into eastern Kentucky. This will change the rain over to snow as temperatures quickly drop below freezing. Roads will begin to ice up and we will throw some snow on the ice that develops.
Bitterly cold temperatures will continue to move in overnight through Monday. Readings will head toward zero by morning and then fall below zero from northwest to southeast on Monday.
Gusty winds will make it feel MUCH colder. Wind chill numbers may hit -30 at times Monday into Tuesday. That's why we have a Wind Chill Warning for all of the region.
