Man hit with car during argument over drugs in Corbin

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - An argument over narcotics has landed one man in jail and another one in the hospital.

The Knox County Sheriff's office responded to a complaint just before 10 a.m. Monday, where a man was hit with a vehicle at Elaine Court Apartments in Corbin.

When they arrived on scene, they found the victim, Dewayne Doolin, with several visible injuries. Doolin told police that he had been in an argument over stolen narcotics with Larry Robbins. He said that Robbins hit him with his vehicle and then left the scene.

Doolin was transported to Baptist Regional Hospital in Knox County. His condition is unknown at this time.

Robbins was later located at his home in Corbin and taken into custody. He is currently lodged in the Knox County Detention Center, charged with Assault.
