LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Weeks after an apartment building was damaged by fire, police have made an arrest in the case.

Lexington Police have charged 37-year-old Tembani Masunungure with arson and burglary, in connection with a fire on Hill Rise Court.

In the warrant issued for Masunungure, investigators said he unlawfully entered an apartment at 730 Hill Rise Court to get some things belonging to him on Nov. 20, 2012. While he was in the apartment he set a fire that caused significant damage to the home, the warrant said.

Masunungure is charged with first degree arson and will appear in Fayette District Court today.

We asked arson investigators if Masunungure is tied to any other suspicious fires in the Hill Rise Court area, they told us they could not comment due to ongoing investigations.
