A band of heavy rain continues to sink southward into the region. We will have to keep a close eye on this later this evening into tonight. The rest of the forecast remains unchanged with a major winter storm moving in late Wednesday and Thursday.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - As the weather warms up, drivers will be facing some different types of traffic issues.
Several construction projects are slated around Lexington that will cause traffic impacts throughout the next few weeks and months.
The left lane of the outer loop of New Circle Road between Georgetown and Leestown Road will be blocked for deck repair work from 9a.m to 3p.m Wednesday.
The right lanes of Leestown Road between Opportunity Way and Greendale Road will also be closed starting at 9a.m Wednesday in both directions for a lengthy road widening project. Those lanes will be closed until further notice.
Also on I-75 between the 98mm and 106mm in Fayette County, the right lanes will be blocked for road maintenance. Those delays should be expected for the next couple of weeks.
