LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Nobel Peace Prize winner and Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, a former political prisoner for two decades, will speak at the University of Louisville.

The university says in a news release that Suu Kyi will speak Sept. 24 as a guest of the McConnell Center.

Suu Kyi will be in Washington to accept the Congressional Gold Medal, Congress' highest civilian honor, on Wednesday. She also will be honored in New York with the Atlantic Council's Global Citizen Award on Sept. 21.

The McConnell Center is inviting people in the Louisville community with ties to Myanmar, also known as Burma, to attend Suu Kyi's talk. A limited number of tickets will be available to the public at the link below starting Monday.
