Authorities investigating body found in downtown

PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) - Authorities in Paducah are investigating the discovery of a second body in two days.

Detective Sgt. Brian Laird told The Paducah Sun a body was discovered near an embankment around 4 a.m. Sunday.

He said more details would be released following an autopsy.

On Friday, McCracken County Sheriff Jon Hayden told the newspaper that workers on Dam 52 near Joppa, Ill., found the remains of 34-year-old Brian Patrick Blake of Paducah.

Blake was last seen June 25. His cause of death is still being investigated.
