Autopsy results inconclusive after Lexington fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- We have new information about the death of a Lexington woman following a fire.

The Fayette County Coroner's office says an autopsy was done on Linda Buell Wednesday.

However, the results are inconclusive as to how and why she died.

The coroner says more tests are needed.

The fire broke out Tuesday at Buell's home on Eastland Drive.

Her son says she fell asleep after lighting a cigarette, and her oxygen tube caught fire.

He thinks the panic of the fire caused her to have a heart attack. She also suffered from COPD.
