LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. -- Two people were airlifted to a hospital just before noon Thursday morning, following a two car crash on US 25, eight miles south of London.
Police said that Betty Epperson, 32, of Flat Lick, was driving south on US 25 in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. She attempted to pass two cars she was driving behind, and struck a 2010 Pontiac G6 head-on.
The driver of the Pontiac, 20 year-old Ladonna Eaton of McKee, and her passenger, Linda Caudill, 57, of Hudson, FL were flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY for treatment.
Epperson, who was alone in his vehicle, was also taken to the St. Joseph of London hospital for treatment.
Sue Mills says she wasn't surprised to see another violent crash on US 25.
"They're bumper to bumper. They follow too close. Seen a lot of accidents here. Me and my son were in one here ourselves," said Mills.
"I'll have nightmares, it was scary," she said of witnessing the violent collision.
No drug or alcohol usage was suspected in causing the crash.
