OWSLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A baby who suffered abuse at the hands of its babysitter are the allegations being investigated by Kentucky State Police in Owsley County.
The victim is 8 months old. He was seriously hurt in February, and was at UK Hospital until Wednesday. An indictment states Noble engaged in conduct that created a grave risk of death for the toddler, who was six months old at the time of the alleged abuse.
We learned late Wednesday afternoon that Brayden was being discharged at UK, where he has received treatment for the past two months.
His injuries were very severe, and Kentucky State Police say the person responsible is 20-year-old Hillary Noble. She is now facing charges of criminal abuse and assault. We are told she was supposed to be caring for Brayden, and the abuse happened between February 15th through the 19th. She was indicted on April 7th and arrested on Monday on Zeke's Branch in Owsley County.
Right now, Noble is being held in the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville. That's where she declined a chance to give her side of the story.
Brayden's mother says she believes that the abuse happened when a friend, who was supposed to be watching Brayden, left him with her sister.
