Back to the basics for this winter season...

Updated: Fri 8:42 AM, Feb 15, 2013

After an abnormally mild Valentine's Day we are back to the basics of winter weather with a rain/snow mix throughout the day. I don't see this amounting to much since temperatures will be well above freezing, ground is still fairly warm and there isn't much moisture to work with. With that said, just like the other day, we could see a few bursts of snow that could coat the ground for a short amount of time. All of this should work its way out of the region through the afternoon and into the evening hours.

Going into the weekend we will see a slight chance at snow, mainly for our eastern zones and this is another little to no accumulation setup. Highs for the weekend will only make it to the 20s and 30s with a dry day on Sunday. Enjoy your Friday and weekend everyone!
